Care with heart – Loving support that builds trust

When a loved one needs care, many relatives suddenly face difficult questions: Who will truly help us? Who cares with heart – not just with professional knowledge? This is exactly where we come in. At noracares, care with heart is not only in our name, but at the center of everything we do.

Care affects us all – whether you need support yourself, care for relatives, or are making provisions. The public care system is overloaded, and according to Statista, the number of people in need of care could even double by 2050. Care agencies do help, but they are often expensive and impersonal.

At noracares, you are in control: you independently search for the right caregiver or, as a caregiver, for suitable families – completely without intermediaries. Our platform makes the search simple, fast, and transparent, placing great importance on trust, dignity, and humanity. Whether 24-hour care, home nursing care, or dementia care – we combine professional care with heart.

In this article, you will learn how to find the right caregiver, which services suit you, what care costs and which subsidies are available. Together, we will find a solution that truly fits you and your loved ones – because real care begins with heart.

What does “Care with Heart” mean?

“Care with Heart” is far more than a term – it is a philosophy. It means treating people with empathy, respect and responsibility. At noracares, we place great importance on connecting caregivers who not only have professional expertise, but also the ability to provide care with heart and mind.

  • Compassionate support for those in need of care
  • Transparent communication and clear decision-making processes
  • Dignity and respect in dealing with those in need of care

How do I recognize “Care with Heart”?

Choosing the right support is a decision that requires deep trust. But what should you look out for? Genuine care with heart is a combination of professionalism, intuition, and clear standards. We have summarized the most important features for you:

Quality features & human factors

It is often the little things that make a big difference. Pay attention to these points when making your choice:

  • Patience and time: A good caregiver does not rush, but allows the person in need of care the space to do things at their own pace.
  • Active listening: Decisions are not made over the person’s head. Wishes and needs are taken seriously.
  • Empathy: The caregiver shows genuine interest in the person’s life story and habits.
  • Hygiene & diligence: A well-groomed appearance and structured handling of medication or aids are a matter of course.

Professional standards

Warmth alone is not enough – safety arises from competence:

  • Proof of qualifications: Transparent insight into diplomas, certificates, and previous experience.
  • Language skills: Clear communication is the basis for safety and social participation.
  • Willingness to continue training: Good caregivers keep their knowledge up to date (e.g. in dementia care or mobilization).

Attention: The “Red Flags” (warning signs)

If you encounter the following points with an agency or a caregiver, caution is advised:

  • Lack of transparency: If costs are unclear or qualifications cannot be verified.
  • Permanent lack of time: If care is merely being “checked off” and there is no room for a brief conversation.
  • Lack of respect: If privacy is disregarded or a patronizing tone prevails.
  • Pressure to decide: If you are pushed to sign a contract without getting to know the caregiver beforehand (e.g. via video chat).

In addition to the human component, quality in Austria is based on the GuKG and in Germany on the Guidelines of the Medical Service (MD) as well as the SGB XI.

Finding the right type of care: A comparison

Flowchart showing various care options: outpatient care, day care, 24-hour care, and nursing home, based on the required level of support and whether around-the-clock safety is necessary.

Every life situation is unique. So that you can make the best decision for your loved ones, we have compared the most common models:

Overview of care models

Comparison of care types

Type of care Focus & services Advantages Challenges
Outpatient care Professional caregivers come to the home for short-term medical tasks (e.g. dressing changes). Familiar environment is maintained; high professional quality. No around-the-clock presence; often high costs with many visits.
Day care The person in need of care spends the day in a facility and is picked up again in the evening. Social contacts; relief for relatives during working hours. Transportation effort; adjustment to a new environment during the day required.
24-hour care A caregiver lives in the house and provides daily support (household, hygiene, companionship). Maximum safety in your own home; one-to-one care; usually more cost-effective than a nursing home. Privacy in the home changes (separate room for caregiver required).
Nursing home Full inpatient accommodation with 24-hour care and medical support. Professional comprehensive care; no responsibility for relatives. Loss of familiar home; often impersonal; very high costs.

While nursing homes are often impersonal, noracares solves the issue of privacy in 24-hour care through getting to know each other via video: you choose someone who is such a good personal fit that the new living situation feels enriching rather than burdensome.

Which model suits you?

  • Choose outpatient care, if only targeted medical assistance is needed but daily life can still be managed independently.
  • Choose day care, to prevent loneliness and relieve family caregivers during the day.
  • Choose 24-hour care, if round-the-clock safety is important and there is a desire to grow old with dignity in your own home.
  • Choose the nursing home if the medical care needs are so high that care at home can no longer be professionally ensured.

[Why noracares? We specialize in placements that preserve the home as the center of life – whether through hourly support or loving 24-hour care.]

The decision for 24-hour care is a big step that requires a lot of preparation – not only organizationally, but also emotionally. Our small self-check helps you gain clarity: Have you created the necessary spatial conditions? What about an internet connection for the caregiver? And above all: Are you internally ready to welcome someone into your daily life? Use these questions as a guide to close any gaps and start your search feeling relaxed. Because good preparation is the best foundation for harmonious living together.

Empathy and respect are central pillars of our philosophy. At noracares, we treat every person with the dignity and respect he or she deserves.

It starts with the selection of caregivers, whom you can choose not only based on their professional qualifications, but also on their ability to provide empathetic and respectful care. This gives you the opportunity to find a caregiver who truly puts their heart into what they do. People in need of care, relatives, and caregivers alike are actively involved in the care process, and their wishes and concerns are taken seriously and respected.

The platform enables direct and open communication between those seeking care and caregivers, fostering mutual understanding and trust. Feedback mechanisms provide both sides with the opportunity to share their experiences and impressions, leading to continuous improvements and a respectful collaboration.

At noracares, it is a central concern that everyone involved – whether a person in need of care, a relative, or a caregiver – feels valued and heard in their role. This fundamental attitude of empathy and respect ensures that a harmonious and supportive care environment is created that meets the needs of all parties involved.

Trust and Community

Professionally dressed woman and boy with Down syndrome smile and hold gift boxes.

Julia is a single mother of a son with disabilities and has a lot on her plate. For a long time, her son only received hourly school supervision; for the remaining 18 to 20 hours she was responsible herself, as well as on weekends and during holidays.

Julia was not only under constant stress, but also had her head full of worries while at work, which even put her job at risk. Letting a stranger into her life as a caregiver – unimaginable for Julia. She was on the verge of burnout, which also jeopardized her job. With noracares, she finally found a caregiver she can entrust with her son. A caregiver she can rely on, who truly cares for her son with heart.

Julia chose this caregiver herself and spoke with her personally before she actively became part of her life. In the meantime, Julia is not only more relaxed, balanced, and cheerful, she has also advanced in her career. She now heads her own department and manages a team of several employees.

If you, too, are at the end of your strength and looking for relief, noracares is exactly the right place for you. Register today and become our next success story!

Your Career at noracares: Care with Heart as a Calling

At noracares, we know: Only those who feel valued themselves can pass that appreciation on to others. That is why our platform is not just a place for those seeking help, but a home for dedicated caregivers who want more than just a “job.”

What does “care with heart” mean for you as a caregiver?

With us, you are not just a number on a duty roster. Care with heart means for our community:

  • Self-determination: You decide which family you work with and which conditions (period, fee) suit you.
  • Relationship instead of assembly line: You have the time to build a genuine bond with those in your care – far from the stress of overloaded care systems.
  • Appreciation: Your work is seen. Transparent profiles and direct feedback ensure that your warmth and competence are recognized.

What do families (your future clients) pay attention to?

When you create your profile on noracares, these are the factors that make you particularly attractive to families:

  • Authenticity: A friendly profile picture and a personal description of your motivation.
  • Clarity: Complete proof of your qualifications and language skills.
  • Reliability: Punctual response times in chat and a professional appearance in the introductory video call.

Career & Growth through noracares

noracares is your springboard. Whether you are an experienced professional looking for a new challenge or want to start as a career changer in the field of everyday assistance:

  1. Easy start: Create your profile free of charge and become immediately visible to hundreds of families seeking help in Austria.
  2. Direct negotiation: No agency that withholds part of your salary. You negotiate directly with the families.
  3. Secure environment: Use our secure communication tools to protect your privacy until you decide to collaborate.

Why noracares Makes Financial Sense: The Calculation Example

Many agencies charge high monthly service fees or retain part of the caregiver’s fee as commission. Since you negotiate directly with caregivers at noracares, these hidden costs do not apply.

Your savings can be calculated very easily:

A concrete example: While traditional agencies often charge fees of 200 to 500 euros per month in addition to the caregiver’s fee, with us you only pay a small fee for using the platform infrastructure. Calculated over a year, this often means savings in the four-digit euro range – money that can go directly into the quality of care.

At noracares, we help you find a caregiver quickly and easily who is not only qualified but also works with heart and empathy. Our intelligent matching system connects families with experienced caregivers who fit both the personality and the care needs.

Yes, noracares is active throughout the German-speaking region. Our network is constantly growing, so we can find suitable support quickly almost everywhere. Simply contact us, and we will check availability directly in your area.
Financing depends on which country the person in need of care is insured in:

In Austria: The basis is the care allowance (levels 1–7). For 24-hour care, there is an additional state subsidy of up to 800 euros per month starting from level 3. We support you with information for your application to the PVA, SVS, or BVAEB.

In Germany: Here, the long-term care fund (at your health insurance) pays a monthly care allowance depending on the care grade (1–5). In addition, benefits such as respite care, the relief amount (125 euros), or tax deductibility of household-related services can be used.
No, “care with heart” is not a legally protected term or a state seal. Rather, it describes our company philosophy. At noracares, we use this term as a quality promise: We only place caregivers who, in addition to their professional competence, also bring a high degree of empathy and humanity.
Since you choose the caregiver directly with us, there is no fixed price. The costs depend on qualifications, language skills, and the scope of support.

Transparency: You only pay a small usage fee for our platform.
Savings: Since no placement agency keeps high commissions, the model is often significantly cheaper than traditional providers.
Usually very quickly. As soon as your profile is created, our matching system immediately suggests suitable profiles. Since you get in touch directly via chat or video call, care can often be arranged within a few days (in urgent cases even faster).
Yes, that is one of our focus areas. With us you can find numerous self-employed personal caregivers who offer round-the-clock care in their own home. With our video chat function, you can make sure in advance that the chemistry for living together under one roof is truly right.
noracares is not a traditional employer, but a platform for self-employed people and professionals. If you want to work as a caregiver with heart, you can register with us, set your own fee, and get in touch with families directly. You remain your own boss and benefit from fair pay without deductions by intermediaries.
